This past April was our first-ever gold-digging excursion. It was an online adventure designed to help dig up profits out of the participants’ websites. And have a little fun along the way.

The main thing I wanted to get across was that this is not your typical e-course. First, it isn’t boring. I wanted to dispel that myth right off the bat, since most people might assume that code and strategy is the stuff of snoring. Second, I wanted to show that the website resembled real life as much as possible. There was a ton of video, audio, worksheets, and student interaction.

I also wanted to show that the excursion was personal and centered on shifting the way you think about your website so that you could then formulate strategy based not only on what works, but what works for you.

In the end, I was really happy with how the site turned out. There was a ton of information, and it turned out to be really easy to navigate. And it was fun, which is always a pre-requisite for me.
