Kelly Parkinson, Copylicious

If you could only work with a few select people in the world, Kelly Parkinson should be one of them. As a copywriter, she has a way of connecting with people that few possess. On the surface, she looks utterly harmless, but once you talk with her on the phone for 5 minutes, you realize that you are in the presence of greatness.

Working with Kelly is like being led through rarely-trodden mountain pathways with a guide that knows everything yet doesn’t rub her knowledge in your face. You know you’re going to come through with way more than just your survival. I wanted to use that metaphor without beating people over the head with it. Kelly’s copy always speaks for itself, and I wanted that to be the focus.

In the end, we chose a really simple, clean layout with fun colors and details that just makes you happy to be there. It’s really smart, but doesn’t take itself too seriously (hmmm…sounds like a certain someone I know. Rhymes with Telly Farkinson.) A place that is equally at home with dinosaur puppets and forgotten birthdays.

It was a tough line to walk, I assure you. And would I have walked it for just anyone? Maybe. But definitely for Kelly Parkinson.

Just look at that face.

110% agree. Kelly Parkinson is the best. She coached me in developing my business, wrote copy for my website, helped me with an elevator pitch, gathered client testimonials. I’d hire Kelly all day long.
