My name is Sarah. I head up digital nation-building over at A Small Nation, and I also like to do fun things that have nothing to do with anything. I post about all of that here.
Things that I’m famous for:
- Being a killer content strategist
- Asking questions that take months to find the answer to
- Launching new things all the time, just for the fun of it
- Solving business and design problems in strange and wonderful ways
- Being the coolest boss ever (uhh…right, guys?)
- Having serious heart flutters for meaningful community
- Creating things that people want, without having to scream “FOR THE LOVE OF PETE, SOMEBODY PLEASE TAKE MY FREE E-BOOK! GEEZ!”
- Being a toast connoissuer
- Campaigning on my high horse against internet crappery (aka: all of the content suckage that is out there that needs to be put out of its sad, sad misery)
Things that I want to be famous for:
- Building a giant library/conservatory that has little nooks that you can rent all to yourself. Sort of like a bed and breakfast inside of a library that has giant trees to sleep under. They would also serve lots of toast. (Seriously, the thought of this makes me want to cry. I’m not over-stating this. Tears just came.)
- Writing and illustrating an incredible Tolkien-esque fantasy series. And I want a day named after it, where everyone dresses up as their favorite character.
- Designing my own line of 17th and 18th century-inspired clothing that people today will actually wear. Or at least that I would actually wear.
- Seriously, I just want to be a female Walt Disney. And I want to have Maurice Sendak paint the entire interior of my house. That’s not too much to ask, is it?
